Maersk Line sold its former U.S. headquarters in Madison, N.J., for $53 million to an investment firm and has moved to another location in a nearby town, Florham Park, according to a report by NJ BIZ magazine.
"One of the Maersk Group’s strategic priorities has been to reduce the amount of owned real estate in an effort to positively impact our cost picture while increasing organizational focus on our five core businesses. To that end, we are satisfied with the outcome of the sale of the Giralda Farms building and have recently moved into modern, newly renovated offices and maintained our connection to the Morris County area of New Jersey," said Maersk spokesman Tim Simpson.
