THE C-SUITE AND THE RETAIL APOCALYPSE

C-suites in many retailers are from the--if you build it, they will come. Back when success was measured in number of stores. There is a retail apocalypse, but most of it is internally caused. Amazon brought, with 20 years of effort, an overnight dynamic with order delivery velocity driven by supply chain management. Why go to the stores when the store comes to you?  Meanwhile, back in the C-suite....
