CONTAINER LINES AND THE IRREVERSIBLE SUPPLY CURVE

With mega ships, their capital investment, the need to fill larger volumes on them, the potential increase in service commoditization with alliance and large ships, and customer needs for faster sailings of select, lower volumes, have container lines created their own inverse relationship and economic irreversible supply curve at both the micro and macro levels?  Is it then a future of marginal pricing with supply exceeding demand and shifting break even points?  What do you think?
