SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT VERSUS LOGISTICS FUNCTIONS

Discussing logistics functions and their costs is not discussing supply chain management.  SCM is more than that.  Supply chain management is a process for the flows of products and related information from origins through to customers.  Limiting it to warehousing, freight, and purchasing costs and activities goes back 100 years to Henry Ford and the Model A.
